2010 La Reina: April Esquibel

April Esquibel is 18 years old and is the daughter of John and Yolanda Esquibel. She was born and raised in Las Vegas, New Mexico. April attended Robertson High School and began her college education at the age of 15 at Luna Community College. She graduated summa cum laude from LCC in May of 2008 and graduated valedictorian from Robertson High School two weeks later. April is now attending the University of New Mexico as an honor student and a presidential scholar. Her major is biology with a double minor in chemistry and Spanish.

April plans to graduate next May with her bachelors and is currently seeking admission into the University Of New Mexico College Of Pharmacy to study nuclear pharmacy.

In her free time, April enjoys reading, writing, exercising, and competing in pageants. April is very proud to represent her culture, traditions, and community through her reign as fiesta queen.
